Garden City, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – The Garden City Community College Football team prepared themselves very well during their bye week for the road trip to Colorado Springs, and it showed as the Busters dominated the Air Force Prep Huskies 47-21 in the non-Conference match-up last weekend. The Busters scored on their opening drive of 80 yards finishing it off with a 30 yard touchdown romp by sophomore Tyreek Hill, the PAT was good by freshman Carlos Chavez giving Garden City a 7-0 advantage. The Busters would get the Huskies to turn the ball over two of the next three possessions’s and Garden City would take advantage of the miscues and added a couple more touchdowns before the end of the 1st quarter giving the Busters 20-0 lead and they never looked back. Busters Head Coach Jeff Tatum talks about their total team effort on the road and their preparation, along with an extremely positive attitude, even when they face adversity.
