Gary Dean Hildreth, 69, died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, KS..

He was born February 23, 1947 at Coats, KS, the son of Dean and Oleta (Lambert) Hildreth.

He married Luzminda Absin on April 1, 1970 at Dumaguete City, Philippines. She survives.

Gary grew up in Coats, KS and a Graduate of Coats High School. After high school he enlisted into the US Navy, where he served on an ammo ship in the Pacific Ocean during the Vietnam War. After he was Honorably Discharged in 1972 he came back to Coats, KS, later bringing over his wife from the Philippines. He helped his father with the family farm. In 1974 he and his wife moved to Denver, CO where he attended school to become an Automobile Mechanic, moving to Liberal, KS upon graduating. He went to work at Bob Hood Chevrolet /Stu Emmerts. He then later went to work at Richard Rose Pontiac. Gary enjoyed Drag Racing, watching the KC Chiefs and his two granddaughters.

Gary is also survived by Two Sons, Wally Hildreth and wife Zuri of Odenton, MD; Robert Hildreth of Liberal, KS; Brother, Terry Hildreth of Derby, KS; Sister, Karen Moss and husband Bill of Colorado Springs, CO; Two Granddaughters, Key’Auri and Averi Hildreth.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Viewing will be 12:00 pm-8:00 pm Thursday October 27th at Miller Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Friday October, 28th at the Miller Mortuary Chapel.
