Garden City YMCA holding Corporate Cup Challenge
Garden City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) The Garden City Family YMCA kicks off its annual Corporate Cup Challenge on Monday, Sept. 18. The deadline to register is Tuesday, Sept. 12.
The Corporate Cup Challenge is a program hosted by the YMCA that is designed to encourage staff and community collaboration through participation in healthy lifestyle activities.
The Challenge will include 30 individual and team events over a span of 24 days. All registered team members will receive a free team t-shirt, and all employees of participating businesses receive a free 30-day YMCA membership from Sept. 12 through Oct. 12.
Divisions are determined by companies’ overall staff size. The Small Teams division is made up of companies with 75 or fewer employees and is limited to 30 team members, and the Large Team division is made up of companies with more than 75 employees and is limited to 40 team members.
Cost to participate is $475 per large division team, and $425 per small division team. Additional teams within the same business receive a 50% discount.
Businesses who would like to participate but lack team members may contact the YMCA to be matched with another team, or may choose to partner with another business to meet the minimum requirements.
A designated team captain is encouraged to attend the pre-event meeting at 6:30pm on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The meetings will help with preparation and to clarify team’s understanding of the events.
