Garden City takes Ron Smith Invitational title in Ulysses

Ulysses, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–The Garden City JV squad took the title at the Ron Smith Invitational in Ulysses this past Saturday. Scott City, who was shorthanded due to injuries, finished second and Ulysses finished third. Garden City had four individual champions, while Scott City ended up with five tournament champions.

Hugoton’s Pedro Ordonez won his second tournament in as many weekends, and was the recipient of the Cleve Currier Outstanding Wrestler Award. He was nominated by the wrestling tournament officials.
