Garden City swimmers first at Emporia
Emporia, KS-The Garden City High School swim team took home first place at the Emporia Invitational on Thursday.
Kirstin Neff won gold in the 50-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle relay. Emma Tull was first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.45, nearly six seconds in front of second-place Kaleigh Burke from Labette County. She was also part of the second-place 200-yard medley team.
Grace Schmidt was first in the 200-yard freestyle.
The Buffaloes won the even with a team score of 455. De Soto was second with 404 points.
