Garden City Rotary Club to provide dictionaries to students
GARDEN CITY, KAN. — The Garden City Rotary Club will be distributing dictionaries to third graders at Garden City Public Schools beginning next week as part of the Rotary Dictionary Project.
The object of the Rotary Dictionary Project is to give every student a personal dictionary of their very own that will serve them at least through elementary and middle school. The following is a schedule of when the students at each school will receive their dictionaries from the Rotary members.
The club will provide Scholastic dictionaries to Georgia Matthews Elementary at 9:00 a.m., Jennie Barker Elementary at 10:00 a.m., and Abe Hubert Elementary at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
The group will distribute dictionaries to Plymell Elementary at 9:00 a.m., Jennie Wilson Elementary at 1:00 p.m., and Alta Brown Elementary at 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
The group will distribute dictionaries to Edith Scheuerman Elementary at 9:00 a.m., Buffalo Jones Elementary at 10:30 a.m., and Gertrude Walker Elementary at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
The group will distribute dictionaries to Florence Wilson Elementary at 8:30 a.m. and Victor Ornelas Elementary at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
