Garden City Police seize over 900 pills laced with Fentanyl during traffic stop
Garden City, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – On September 23 at around 1:00 A.M., Officers of the Garden City Police Department and the Garden City/Finney County Joint Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of E US Highway 50.
After further investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted, where Officers located counterfeit oxycodone pills mixed with fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. The driver, identified as Cheyenne McGahan (29), a transient, and two passengers, April Williams (53) and Steven Calhoun (46), both from Garden City, KS, were taken into custody following the traffic stop.
The Garden City/Finney County Joint Drug Task Force served a search warrant at Calhoun’s residence at 2914 N Fleming Street #210.
Through the entire investigation, the following items were seized as evidence from the traffic stop and Calhoun’s residence:
• 991 counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl
• 38.1 grams of Methamphetamine
• 40 units of liquid Methamphetamine/Fentanyl
• 22 units of Fentanyl
• Items indicative of the distribution and consumption of illegal narcotics
Calhoun was lodged in the Finney County Jail for the following charges: Distribution of Opiates/Fentanyl, Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possession of stimulants, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Williams was lodged in the Finney County Jail for the following charges: Distribution of Opiates/Fentanyl, Possession of Opiates, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
McGahan was lodged in the Finney County Jail for the following charges: Possession of Opiates, Possession of Stimulants, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Out of
County Warrants (x2)
