Garden City police searching for suspect after Hit-and-Run

Garden City, Kan (WesternKansasNews.Com) – On July 3, 2022, at around 12:50 A.M., Officers of the Garden City Police Department and Finney County EMS were dispatched to a pedestrian accident involving a 44-year-old man at the intersection of Fulton Street and 12th Street.

Upon arrival, Officers located the man lying in the roadway. The man was alert and able to speak to Officers.

The investigation revealed that the man had left El Patron Bar and was crossing Fulton Street when he was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado. Witnesses said that the Silverado was driving recklessly, and the vehicle fled the accident scene before Officers arrived. The man sustained several injuries and was transported to St. Catherine Hospital for treatment.

Officers are attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle, and the investigation is on-going.
