Garden City police arrest two on drug charges
Garden City, Kan.–Garden City Police arrested two individuals on drug charges following an investigation Saturday night.
According to the release from GCPD, 41-year-old Meghan Leens and 38-year-old Efraim Garcia-Mendoza face charges from the investigation.
Just after 10 p.m. Saturday, Officers conducted a traffic stop at 4005 E. Highway 50 at Quicker Market and made contact with Leens and Garcia-Mendoza. After further investigation, K9 Koda was deployed for a sniff of the vehicle and detected the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle was conducted, where Officers located over a pound of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl-laced pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Leens and Garcia-Mendoza were arrested and lodged in the Finney County Jail for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Distribution of Controlled Substances, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and other drug violations.
