Garden City Native Richard B. Chambers Appointed To Key Wealth Management Post at Commerce Trust Company

WICHITA – Aug. 20, 2019– Commerce Trust Company Regional Executive Eric Ireland, J.D., today announced the appointment of Richard B. Chambers, J.D., LL.M., as a Wealth Management Consultant to the trust and wealth management team of the Wichita and South Central Kansas Regions office.

Chambers will use his extensive investment, trust and estate, and tax management experience as a business development officer to help new high-net-worth clients build their wealth and meet their financial goals. He brings more than two decades of financial industry and legal experience to the position. He will report to Ireland, Executive Vice President for the Wichita wealth management group.

Chambers most recently served as Senior Vice President for the U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management group for nearly a decade. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and Manager of the Trust and Investment Management Divisions of Central Bank and Trust Co., Hutchinson, Kan., and held key relationship management positions at NationsBank, Boatmen’s National Bank, and BANK IV, giving him a unique perspective on the needs of investment management clients in this market. Chambers holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in economics from the University of Oklahoma, his law degree from the University of Kansas, and a Master of Laws in Taxation
