Garden City High School cross country looks back on state title win

Garden City, KS (Western Kansas News) – Garden City High School captured the 6A State Championship in cross country at the beginning of November, with a dominant win over perineal powers from Northeast Kansas.

Garden City sports director Kolby Van Camp sat down with Coach Kris Lindenberger and champion runners Hayden Nemechek and Taran Castro during the weekly sports talk show, Buffs Talk. The trio discussed the strategy involved in preparing for the meet, the endurance it has taken over the season, and the satisfaction of taking the state title from the schools in northeast Kansas on their home turf.
