Garden City golf 2nd at Liberal; Dodge City 4th

Liberal, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Despite windy conditions, the Garden City girls golf team finished strong Thursday in Liberal. 

Danielle Gaspar’s 42 tied for the sixth best score at Willow Tree, while her team finished one shot back of Hays with a 178. 

“We did very well, even with the wind,” said Elena Lemke, whose 44 was good for eighth overall. 

Hays’s Katie Brungardt shot a 40 to take the individual title. Dodge City’s Makena Konrade placed second with a 41. As a team, the Red Demons came in fourth.
