Garden City girls win WAC Tennis, Dodge City second
LIBERAL, Kan. — The Garden City High School girls tennis team won the Western Athletic Conference team title on Monday at Blue Bonnet Park in Liberal for their fifth straight league title.
The Buffaloes, under first-year head coach Logan Bevis were led by Sage Riggs, as she helped pave the way for the team title by taking First Place in the No. 1 Singles. Riggs was also named the WAC Player of the Year, while Bevis was named the WAC Coach of the Year.
Dodge City took Second Place, as they were led by WAC champions in No. 2 Doubles, Becca Unruh and America Gamaz.
