Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) As the question is put to the voters next Tuesday do you support an extension of the ¼ penny tax to fund a new juvenile services and corrections building, Garden City Chamber President Steve Dyer tells us why his members want you to say yes.

The good news is Finney County residents will not be the only ones hit with this tax, a substantial amount comes from outside the area.

The estimated six million dollar project is expected to take nine years to pay off.  There’s the possibility with the new Schulman Crossing development and more tax revenue brought in, it will not take that long to reach the amount.
