Garden City and Dodge City YMCA announce 2018 Corporate Cup Challenge

Garden City, Kan. – The Garden City and Dodge City Family YMCA’s kick off their annual Corporate Cup Challenge in September. The Garden City challenge begins on Monday Sept. 17, while the Dodge City challenge kicks off on Thursday Sept. 27.  The deadline to register is Tuesday, Sept. 11.

The Corporate Cup Challenge is a program hosted by the YMCA that is designed to encourage staff and community collaboration through participation in healthy lifestyle activities.

The Challenge will include 30 individual and team events over a 27-day span. Events are open to both employees and spouses. Employees of companies participating in the challenge will receive a free 30-day YMCA membership.

Divisions are determined by companies’ overall staff size. The Small Teams division is made up of companies with 75 or fewer employees and is limited to 30 team members, and the Large Team division is made up of companies with more than 75 employees and is limited to 40 team members.

The cost to participate is $425 per small division team, and $475 per large division team. Each additional team within the same business will receive a 50% discount.

Businesses who would like to participate but lack team members may contact the YMCA to be matched with another team, or may choose to partner with another business to meet the minimum requirements.
