Frances V. (Kostner) Luke

Frances V. (Kostner) Luke, age 95, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2013 at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas.

She was born September 26, 1918 at El Dorado, Kansas the daughter of Frank and Alice Ryan Mulnix. She was a longtime resident of Scott City, Kansas and she was a homemaker. Frances was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Scott City, Kansas.

On June 8th , 1944 she married Clark F. Kostner. He died in 1959. On Sept. 4th, 1973 she married Clarence D. Luke. He passed away on October 23, 1991 in Scott City, Kansas.  

Survivors include 3 sons, Clark F. Kostner of Leawood, Kansas, William B. Kostner of Littleton, Colorado, and Robert R. Kostner of Wichita, Kansas. Her grandchildren are: Pamela Millison (Bob), Bill Kostner, Amber Kostner (deceased), Kamme Carlsten.

 Over her 95 years she was a mother to 3, grandmother to 4 and great grandmother to 4 plus an aunt to 18 of us.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Two Sisters – Marcella Mallo, Mary Heath, One Brother – Dwuane Mulnix, and One Granddaughter – Amber Kostner.

A vigil prayer service will be held at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 7pm on  Wednesday, October 9, 2013. The Funeral will be at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Scott Thursday October 10, 2013 with Fr. Bernard Felix presiding. Interment will be in the Scott City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. until 5 pm Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.

In Lieu Of Memorials may be givento the St Judes Childrens Hospital, Shriners Childrens Hospital or St. Joseph Catholic Church % Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City, Kansas.
