Fort Hays President Reaching Out During Media Tour

Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) New Fort Hays State President Doctor Mirta Martin made her first stop to Garden City Monday as part of the college’s media tour. Martin wants to build on the success of her predecessor Dr. Ed Hammmond who just retired after 30 years.

Martin knows the greatest challenge is getting students lined up with jobs in their career field of choice. This is done because Fort Hays State listens to what employers need.

Doctor Martin indicated a key component to bringing the benefits of a college education to the world. Best thing you do not even have to leave the comforts of your living room.

The virtual classroom gives student the convenience to further their education anytime they want.

Doctor Martin is confident the program will expand in future years.
