Former Holcomb HS Teacher Given Probation For Sex with 18 Year Old Student
Holcomb, KS (westernkansasnews.com) A former teacher at Holcomb High School has been given one year of probation after being accused of having sex with an 18 year old student. 26 year old Katie Rufener pleaded no contest to a charge of misdemeanor battery earlier this month.
The former student says Rufener invited him back to her home three different times in 2015 where they had sex. Rufener has been on administrative leave almost the entire school year from her new teaching position in rural Ohio.
