Former Heisman Winner Opens BBQ Restaurant in Dodge

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) He played like a giant on the football field and ran his way to the 1978 Heisman Trophy at the University of Oklahoma.  Now Billy Sims has opened up a BBQ Restaurant on Central Avenue near the Village Square Mall.

The first few years were a struggle, now Sims’ business partner Jeffrey Jackson says Dodge City is their 48^th restaurant. Customers can taste the difference in this BBQ.                                                                                                                                              

The restaurant opened Friday, with the store’s grand opening celebration Saturday morning.
