Ford County Sheriff K9 dies following pursuit

Ford County, Ks (westernkasnasnews) A K9 has died following a pursuit that happened Monday.

According to the Ford County Sheriffs Office, K9 Kyra and her Officer where dispatched to help in an on going pursuit. At the conclusion of the call for service, she began to show signs of distress and was immediately taken to a local veterinary clinic for treatment and emergency surgery.

Kyra later succumbed to her injuries.  Kyra served the Ford County Sheriffs Office for the past 8 years.
