Finney County crash injures two fleeing from law enforcement
Finney County, Kan. (westernkansasnews.com)–Two people from Colorado were injured on Monday afternoon just after 2 pm in Finney County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Report, a 2004 Ford F250 driven by 33-year-old Michael Louis Kellogg-Gotto of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was involved in a pursuit and was traveling northbound on VFW Road towards Jones Avenue, when he crossed the center line and attempted to make a turn onto Jones Ave at a high rate of speed. Kellogg-Gotto’s vehicle began to rotate counterclockwise and entered the North ditch of Jones Ave,1 then reentered the road, tripped and vaulted, impacting on it’s passenger side and coming to rest.
Kellogg-Gotto was uninjured in the accident.
Passengers in the vehicle, 39-year-old Nhu Truc Huynh, and 40-year-old Brandon L Patillo, both of Aurora, Colorado, were taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital for injuries.
All three involved were not wearing seatbelts, according to the KHP report.
