Elmer J. Kreutzer, age 83 died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on May 9, 1930 in Denver, Colorado the son of Richard P. and Opal Johnson Kreutzer. Elmer grew up in Pratt, Kansas and had been a resident of Garden City since the early 1950’s working as a Grounds and Buffalo Keeper for the Kansas Fish & Game Commission and then later as a mechanic and road crew operator for the Kansas Department of Transportation retiring in 1994.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and belonged to several CB Clubs, Fishing Clubs & Hunting Clubs.

From 1951-1958 he was married to Dorothy Durham. From 1959-2009 he was married to Dorothy Davis.

Survivors include:
Two Sons, Richard J. (& Celeste) Kreutzer of Iuka, Mississippi and
Rodney (& Karen) Kreutzer of Aurora, Missouri;
One Daughter, Teresa (& Vern) Nightengale of Copeland, Kansas;
Six Grandchildren and Thirteen Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Two Brothers, Melvin & Charles Kreutzer and a nephew, Chuck Kreutzer.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the First Christian Church in Garden City, Kansas.

There will be no calling times.

Inurnment will be held @ 11:00am on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City, Kansas.
