Elisabeth Teichroeb

Elisabeth Teichroeb, 46, died March 26, 2016 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City after battling an extremely hard fight with cancer for four years and four months. She was born on January 17, 1970 at Mexico, the daughter of Johan and Maria Doerksen (Dyck) Neufeld.

Elisabeth married Enrique (Henry) Teichroeb on July 11, 1987 in Mexico. He survives. They moved to Copeland in 1998 where they raised their five children. In 2007, Elisabeth opened H & E Fabrics in Copeland. Elisabeth enjoyed traveling with Henry. They often searched for items to purchase for the store while traveling. She loved to work in her yard, taking care of the flowers and trees. Her greatest joy was her family. Elisabeth loved taking care of her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Elisabeth is survived by her husband, Henry Teichroeb of Copeland; five children, Lisa Wiebe and husband Herman of Sublette, Mary Fehr and husband Peter of Leamington, Ontario, Johnny Teichroeb and fiancé, Enny Klassen of Copeland, Tina Teichroeb of Copeland, and James Teichroeb of Copeland; three sisters, Maria Loewen, Neta Loewen, and Lena Neufeld all of Mexico; five brothers, John Neufeld of Plains, Texas, Henry Neufeld, Jake Neufeld, and Corny Neufeld all of Alberta, and Peter Neufeld of Winkler, Manitoba; four grandchildren, Aaron, Natalie, and Brooklyn Wiebe and Hailey Fehr; and one granddaughter to soon arrive. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Mennonite Evangelical Church in Copeland on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Hein Friesen and Mr. Walter Loewen presiding. Burial will follow at Copeland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Montezuma on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from noon to 8:00 PM.
