Elaine Louise McGuire

Elaine Louise McGuire (nee Carmichael), age 70 of Cincinnati formerly of Dodge City, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She was born in Dodge City, Kansas on August 11, 1944 the daughter of Oscar and Mildred (Torline) Carmichael. She moved to Cincinnati from Derby, Kansas in 1976. After raising her four children, she was a bookkeeper for many years, and after retiring 7 years ago, she volunteered at the Cincinnati Museum Center. 

She is survived by one son, Bill McGuire and his wife Ceci of Lewisville, North Carolina; three daughters, Teresa and her husband Dave Novitski of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, Kelley Brown of Fairfield, Ohio, and Christy and her husband Hans Visser of Huizen, Netherlands; six grandchildren, Adam Brown, Meredith Brown, Madeleine McGuire, Anna Novitski, Oscar Visser and Nynke Visser; one brother, James “Pete” Carmichael of Dodge City, Kansas; one sister, Jane Trabert of Dodge City, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Timothy Carmichael, Richard Carmichael and Donald “Butch” Carmichael. 

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, with Fr. Wesley Schawe officiating. Visitation will be 8:30 am to service time Tuesday at Ziegler Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
