Efforts Underway to Discuss Improving Rural Mail Delivery
Washington D.C. (westernkansasnews.com) The Postal Service has cut back and even closed some of its processing centers, but nothing seems to help balance their budget. USPS lost 5.5 billion last year and has up to 100 billion in unfunded liabilities over future years. Senator Jerry Moran is leading a group of his colleagues to find solutions so that rural mail service can improve.
Moran knows that with the internet and other technological tools, people are using mail less and less which means this problem is not going away.
