DuVall: Impact of New KDOT Trucking and Shipping Hub Could Grow
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Finney County Economic Development Corporation submitted to KDOT details last week plans for what a shipping and trucking hub could bring to Western Kansas. Lona DuVall, President of the FCEDC thinks there are numerous partners they like to bring in.
DuVall is comfortable with adding more than they currently have.
The project’s potential impact will determine how much money KDOT kicks in. A new survey could make the current proposal even bigger than it is now.
DuVall believes there could also be a tie with the new Dairy Farmers of America Milk Processing Plant.
Officials in Garden City are expected to hear back from KDOT soon on how they want to proceed.
