Driverless Cars Will Not Totally Eliminate Fatalities
(westernkansasnews.com) Last week the Obama Administration stated a goal of totally eliminating all road related traffic fatalities within thirty years. Part of this would be done with an infusion of new technology introducing driverless cars on the market. Even withe best of intentions, KDOT spokesman Kirk Hutchinson believes this is an impossible task.
Already various safety functions on vehicles are having some effect on reducing accidents, but to what extent is unknown.
