Dr. Frank Hansen
Dr. Frank Hansen, 66, died on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born on December 14, 1949 at Hastings, Nebraska the son of William Lloyd & Dorothy (Uerling) Hansen. Frank grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1968. He attended Colorado College and the University of Kansas as an undergraduate, the University of Kansas Medical School for Medical School and Internal Medicine Residency and the University of Arkansas for his Pulmonary Fellowship. Frank moved to Garden City and married Gail Fender on August 14, 1982 at Garden City. He was a longtime Medical Doctor in Garden City.
Frank was loved, trusted, admired and appreciated. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and occasionally unleashing his cleaver sense of humor. His good natured pranks were both feared and revered. He is preceded in death by his Parents & Daughter Nichole Jean Hansen.
Survivors are his Wife Gail Hansen of the Home, 2 Daughters- Heather Hansen and Rachel Hansen of Wichita, Brother- Eric & Lana Hansen of Lenexa, Sister- Cynthia Hansen Siler & Dr. Thomas Siler of St Charles, Missouri & In-Laws- Don & Shirley Fender of Wichita and Rick & Becky Thomeczek of Garden City and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the First Southern Baptist Church in Garden City with the Rev Randy Caddell officiating. Burial will precede the service at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
