Doug was born in Ulysses, and raised in southwest Kansas . He had worked as a truck driver and in the oil industry. He enjoyed fishing, camping and any activity that involved being outdoors. He had a great wit and always knew how to make people laugh.  
He was preceded in death by his father- Candelario Ochoa, Jr.
