Dorothy Otting

Dorothy Otting, age 79, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at her home in Garden City. She was born July 30, 1934 in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas Charles & Urshal V. (Davenport) Keaton. Dorothy married Robert Edward Otting on July 15, 1968 at Stigler, Oklahoma. He died on April 19, 1993.

Dorothy grew up in and graduated from Muskogee High School. She lived most of her adult life in Hutchinson and was a longtime Office Manager for a heating and air conditioning company. She moved to Garden City in 2012. She enjoyed puzzles, crafts and her family activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers & 1 sister.
Survivors include 2 sons, Darrell & Barb Rains of Garden City, Craig & Brenda Otting of Lawrence; 3 brothers, Vachel & Miyoshi Keaton of Garden City, Ron & Charline Keaton of Denton, Texas, Mike & Carolyn Keaton of Farmington, New Mexico; 3 sisters, Maurice Taylor of Bakersfield, California, Juanita Griffith of Woodbury, Minnesota, Carol & Loren Thorpe of New Cambria, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, Karisa & Rob White, Aubrey & Jarrod Spencer, Ethan Otting, Colby Otting; and 3 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn White, Oliver Spencer, and Ava Spencer.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 06, 2014 at Church Of Christ in Garden City with Jarrod Spencer officitating.
Visitation: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 05, 2014 at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. 
Graveside Service: 1:00 PM on Friday, March 07, 2014 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.
