Doris Deines, 83, died February 27, 2015 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita . She was born on May 19, 1931 in rural White City, Kansas the daughter of Henry and Bertha Laudemann. She grew up in the White City and Woodbine area and graduated from Woodbine High School. 

Doris married Ervin Dean Deines on March 25, 1951 in Shady Brook, Kansas. They moved to Cimarron in 1980 from Hope. In 1983 they moved to Dodge City. She was a farm wife and also worked for Cimarron Insurance Company of Cimarron. Doris loved her flower and vegetable gardens and baking. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and neighbors and friends. 

She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Dodge City. 

Mrs. Deines is survived by three daughters, Janet Schlesener (Alan), Cimarron, Judy Kahns, Wichita, and Lynn Deines, Dodge City; five grandchildren, Jeff Kahns (Anna), Michelle Frink (Arch), Tori Tosses, Angie Roberts (Brent), Michael Schlesener (Amy); 11 great grandchildren, Sydney, Curtis, Cody, Clay, Leah, Alex, Preston, Kynlee, Brady, Sienna, Nathan and two on the way; three sisters, Alice Peterson, Arlene Carlson (Charles) both of Herington and Lily Hurd (Russell), Mulvane.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ervin Deines, three brothers and 4 sisters. 

Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Shady Brook with Rev. Walter Gilkey presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from Noon to 8:00 P.M..
