KS Law Enforcement Says No to Drones For Now
Topeka, KS (westernkansasnews.com) You are going to hear a lot about drones or unmanned aircraft over the next few years as all of us find out about this developing technology. Drones are relatively inexpensive at about 1000 dollars each. The question is will any of our law enforcement agencies beginning using them?
Mark Malick of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation says from time to time the Kansas Highway Patrol will provide aerial shots of major crime scenes. As of now KBI, Highway Patrol and local police say there are no plans to use drones.
