Donnie Belknap

Donnie Belknap, age 51, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at his home in Garden City. He was born December 19, 1961 at Garden City, the son of Lee H. & Anna Belle (Berry) Belknap. Donnie married Christine Urban on June 5, 2010 at Garden City.

Donnie was a lifetime Garden City resident and a 1979 graduate of Garden City High School. During high school he worked on a pig farm and the golf course. He was in the roofing business for over 30 years, first at D.V. Douglass and the past 19 years for Weathercraft Roofing Company.

He enjoyed guns, fishing, building model rockets, playing pool & darts and photography, especially architectural building designs. Donnie was a member of the First Christian Church of Garden City, Sand & Sage Rifle Club, and National Rifle Association. He was preceded in death by his Mother.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Belknap of their home; father, Lee Belknap of Garden City; 2 brothers, Jim Belknap of Garden City, Gerald Belknap of Garden City; 2 sisters, Joan Belknap of Garden City, Anita Belknap of Garden City; mother-in-law, Agnes Urban of Park City; 3 brothers-in-law, Danny Urban of Colby, Rocky Urban of Colby, Marvin Urban of Colby; 2 sisters-in-law, Linda Adwell of Valley Center, and Marlene Ritnour of Roca, Nebraska.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Friday, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday , at Garnand Funeral Home. 

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 01, 2013 at First Christian Church with Rev David Bell officiating.

Interment: Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Sand & Sage Rifle Club in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
