Don moved to Garden City in 1956, He worked odd jobs in Finney County until 1959 when he served in the U. S Army for 2 yrs. and was in the Army Reserve for 2 yrs. He worked for Papas Concrete as truck driver for many yrs. delivering Concrete to many feedlots and to the Sunflower power plant while under construction. He also managed the APCO gas station located at the corner of 12th and Kansas. He loved tinkering with Trucks and enjoyed raising livestock of all kinds for trading and selling. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and Family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
