Doll Weighs Factors to Make State Senate Run
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) State Representative John Doll of Garden City is taking the time to explore a run for the Senate Seat currently held by Larry Powell. Doll calls it a disconnect between Powell and his constituents.
There are several questions on whether Doll is the guy that wants to take up the challenge. One is money and the other time.
Powell’s district covers all or parts of ten counties. Doll will make the decision on a Senate run or to stay with his current seat by the end of the month.
In a story related to the legislative business, Kansas will soon become the fifth state to allow concealed carry without a permit. Representative Doll wrestled with the decision before voting yes.
Doll wants lawmakers to fix the budget first.
Both Senator Larry Powell and Doll the man considering a run for Powell’s seat voted for lifting the restrictions on concealed carry.
