Doll Concerned About Taking One Time Money to Fix Budget Woes
Garden City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Newly elected State Senator John Doll of District 39 is not only concerned about the budget, but the remedy to fix this year’s 350 million dollar shortfall. One of the solutions proposed is the state taking a lump sum from the tobacco settlement money negotiated years ago.
Taking the big amount would have a profound effect locally.
That is not the only one time money legislative leaders have looked at taking. The concern is what does that leave Kansas for future years?
