Dodge City’s “Great American Cleanup” projects scheduled

DODGE CITY, Kan. — The city of Dodge City has announced it’s schedule for the annual Great American Cleanup project that will take place this Saturday, April 27. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Dodge City Fire Training Center parking lot at 2101 1st Ave.

The annual event is in partnership with the Keep Dodge City Beautiful organization, as well as many other local organizations.

The Dodge City Police Department will be there to collect unused or outdated prescription medications. You can drop any of your old medications off and they will be properly disposed.

Archway Recycling will be on hand to accept old electronics; such as computers, VCRs, phones, printers, TVs, etc.

Ford County Household Hazardous Waste will be there to take unwanted paint products, automotive products, pesticides, herbicides, batteries, or anything flammable and poisonous that you no longer need.
