Dodge City A’s win despite struggling offense
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com)-Despite hitting a wall offensively, Dodge City continues to push forward.
Kevin Connoloy’s RBI ground out and Alex Aguilar’s run-scoring double; both coming in the bottom of the first, was all the A’s needed in a 2-0 victory over El Dorado Monday night at Cavalier Field.
“We had some chances to put the game away,” Dodge City Coach David Flores said afterwards. “We just couldn’t get those hits with guys in scoring position.”
While the offense sputtered, Max Green was extremely efficient on the bump. He allowed just three hits in seven innings of work while striking out five and walking only one.
