Dodge City Teacher to Receive Aid

Dodge City, KS(westernkansasnews.com) Weigand-Omega Management and Omega Senior Living are doing their 2nd Annual Teacher’s Dream List Drive through their “My Neighbor’s Keeper initiative”.

Each year teachers use their own money for supplies. The goal of the project is to help provide teachers with items they need for their classroom.

The Reserves at Cimarron Valley Apartments of Dodge City has selected Kristin Showalter, a first grade teacher at Ross Elementary to receive the help. Showalter began her career at Ross Elementary two years ago.

Over the past year she has researched the benefits of flexible seating and will be implementing this into her classroom. School supplies such as storage tubs, storage crates, paint brushes, paint, cookie cutters, popsicle sticks, clothes pins, cookie cutters, etc. are very much needed for daily activities. Other items that are needed are books, games, fish tanks, stools, art supply organizing bins, bookshelves, bean bag chairs, backrest and floor pillows, yoga mats, wobble chairs and gift certificates.

If you want to donate any of the above items or money contact Erin Fern at 620-371-6722.
