Dodge City Student Diagnosed with Scarlett Fever
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) In a facebook posting school district officials have informed the public that a student has been diagnosed with Scarlett Fever. Although officials did inform the Ford County Health Department they do not genuine reported this type of illness.
Scarlett fever and strep throat are caused by the same germ. The bacterial infection also causes a red rash. It is treatable by antibiotics. The most important to avoid spreading the illness is washing your hands and avoid sharing utensils like drinking classes.
If a parent believes their student may be infected contact your doctor and most importantly keep your child at home.
