Dodge City Regional Airport Reaches New Passenger Record
12/23/2021 (westernkansasnews) DODGE CITY, Kansas—Dodge City Regional Airport will reach 8,000 passengers flown for 2021 on December 23. This will set a record for the airport for passengers flying out of Dodge City in a single year.
“It is thrilling to reach this milestone at DDC after having record lows during the pandemic,” said Airport Manager Kelli Enlow. “The accomplishment would not have been possible without the jet service we receive from United Operated by SkyWest Airlines through the Essential Air Service Program and the many customers that have chosen to Fly Dodge.”
Service with United began on February 12, 2020, with daily flights out of Dodge City to Denver International Airport on a 50-passenger CRJ200 jet. Previously, Dodge City Regional Airport’s commercial service had been on an 8-passenger plane.

“On behalf of the airport and City of Dodge City, I would like to thank the many passengers from Dodge and the surrounding communities for flying out of our airport,” Enlow said. “The show of support for the air service provided proves the need for commercial jet service in our community and will help us to continue providing reliable air travel.”
