Dodge City Law announce signings
Dodge City Law Head Coach, Sean Ponder announces the first round of players being signed to play for the team in 2015. This will be the 2nd season of professional indoor football played at United Wireless Arena by the Dodge City Law who proudly brought home several league awards in 2014 including Franchise of the Year.
Returning players are from last season are –
Marquis George, a 6’3 275 lb defensive lineman from Dodge City Community College and Jacksonville State All OVC player.
Joshua “Superman” Floyd, 5’10” 190 lb quarterback from Chowan University who was voted 2nd team all CPIFL Quarterback last season.
Dominique Carson, a 5’5” 170lb running back from SUL Ross State, who was also voted CPIFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Cordney Sanders, a 6’2” 200 lb defensive back from Mississippi Valley State.
Jamar Seard, a 6’3″ 310lb lineman who plays both on the offensive and defensive line from Highland Community College.
Brandon Venson, a 6’3” 235 lb wide receiver from Illinois State, in addition to being in camp with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.
New to the team for the 2015 season will be two players who tried out for the Dodge City Law at last month’s local tryout. Eric Friess, a 5’11” 187lbs linebacker/defensive back and Zack Fields, a 6’0″ 240lbs defensive lineman/linebacker out of Dodge City Community College.
Coach Ponder is excited to have the returning players on his roster for another season. “We all feel like we have some unfinished business from last season”. Ponder also says, “the new players we have signed are really talented and I am looking forward to watching them develop, I feel like we have put together one heck of a team for our fans to watch.” The Law organization plans to continue their commitment to community involvement and dedication and to putting the best possible product on the field for their fans to support and enjoy.
The 2015 regular season kicks off on March 7th at United Wireless Arena where the Law will play host to the Amarillo Venom. Season tickets are available by calling the Dodge City Law football office at 620-371-7240. Individual game tickets will go on sale through the arena box office on January 20th.
