Dodge City Has Two Wrestlers Into the Semi-Finals for Saturday

Wichita, KS (www.westernkansasnews.com) – The Dodge City Red Demons brought four wrestlers to the 6A State Tournament at Wichita and three remain on the final day of competition. Jaden McRoberts at 113 will have to come through the backside to place, at 120 Clay Weil and at 138 Dane Edwards have already claimed a top six finish with their first round victories and then won in the quarter finals. Santiago Garcia at 152 found the going tough to make it through the first day and lost both of his matches. The results of day one at the 2013 KSHSAA State Wrestling Tournament for the Dodge City are listed below, and the Red Demons are currently setting in 17th place with 19.5 points. The top five teams after day one has No. 1 Garden City 1st with 80.5 points, Junction City 2nd with 61.5, Manhattan 3rd at 59, Derby and Wichita Northwest are tied for 4th at 51.5. Wrestling begins with the wrestle backs at 9:00 am Saturday morning at Hartman Arena in Wichita.
