Dodge City Eighth, Garden City Ninth at 6A Girls State Golf

HESSTON, Kan. — The Hesston Golf Park was not fair to western Kansas teams, Dodge City and Garden City on Monday and Tuesday at the Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 6A Girls State Golf Tournament, as both the Lady Demons and Lady Buffaloes found themselves at the bottom of the overall Team Standings. Dodge City finished in Eighth Place with a 779 score, while Garden City was in Ninth Place with a 791.

Shawnee Mission East won the team title with a 631 score, 62 strokes ahead of Blue Valley West for the second place finish. Blue Valley West’s Julia Misemer  won the individual title with a 4-over 144 score for the two days, five shots ahead of the second place finisher. 

Garden City sophomore, Ryann Warren was the top area finisher, as she finished in 18th place, earning herself a medal.
