Dodge City Comfortable in How They Review Teachers

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) For all the talk about eliminating teacher tenure in the school education funding bill, one school district in SW Kansas doesn’t expect much to change.

Superintendent Alan Cunningham says the ultimate fate of defining teacher tenure ultimately rests with the legislature.  As far as funding itself, Cunningham believes the legislature addressed the equalization model called on by the state supreme court.

Once again each district is unique.

There is confidence the state supreme court will be satisfied with the school funding model, but there are no guarantees.
