Dodge City Baseball Splits Double Header

Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) The Dodge City baseball team split their two games of a triangular on Friday falling to Derby 5-2 and beating Wichita Southeast 9-4.

Luke Royle took the loss on the mound in game one, but bounced in the second game on his senior night going two for three at the plate and driving in three runs. Lucas Hefner and Noah Sowers each drove in two runs in the win over Wichita Southeast. Hefner got the win in the second game.

Before the second game Dodge City honored their six seniors Jake Montgomery, Ryan Armstrong, Luke Royle, Lucas Hefner, Carlos Rojas and Rylan Allen.

Dodge City finishes a successful regular season with a 12-8 record and the WAC title. The Red Demons have clinched a top four seed in the Campus Regionals and will host a game next week on either Wednesday or Thursday. The seeding announcement will be made on Saturday.
