Demons Ready For Road Test at Great Bend
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Dodge City (2-2, 1-0 WAC) is looking to build on the success they had last week in scoring touchdowns on their first three possessions of each half to beat Liberal 69-0. The tough part is facing a Great Bend team that has had success this year, jumped out to a 3-1 start and took Garden City to the brink before falling 42-28.
Something has to give in this key battle. Red Demon Head Coach Dave Foster believes his defense is in for a challenge.
As for battling Great Bend’s defense, Foster thinks the way the Panthers gamble can lead to their success, but also can produce results for the Red Demon offense.
One of the most interesting battles tonight is between Dodge City wide receiver Dayton McGroarty and Great Bend wide out Bryce Lytle. Both are separate by one yard for the conference lead in receiving yardage (McGroarty 401-Lytle 400).
Dodge City is looking for only their second win in Great Bend since 1999. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:30, kickoff is at 7 on Z98 and westernkansasnews.com.
