Demon Wrestling Wins WAC For First Time
Dodge City, KS (westernkansasnews.com) There is a first time for everything and for the Dodge City Red Demon wrestling team sparked by a win earlier this season over Garden City, Dodge City wins the WAC championship for the first time.
After trailing early 12-3, Dodge came back with win in for straight matches three by technical fall and one by major decision. The Red Demons had to hold on late leading 34-12 they weathered the storm through the final match and kept the suspense going until Cole Trent lost to Chris Boman of Liberal in a 1-0 decision in holding on for the title.
Dodge at 12-2 will host regionals on Saturday, February 20th for the first time in eight years.
