DODGE CITY, Kan. — The NJCAA National Football Committee , chaired by DC3 Director of Athletics Jacob Ripple, met via conference call Monday morning to finalize the list of 2019 First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention All-Americans. After the conclusion of bowl games this past weekend and the National Championship game Thursday night in Pittsburg Kansas, the committee had a tall order of combing through the 150+ student-athletes submitted to them to pick for only 75 All-American spots. The 2-hour long conference call was a continuation from the previous weeks 2-hour long conference call to narrow down and discuss those student-athletes deserving of All-American honors. One name that was a constant highlight throughout the Conquistador football season that was repeatedly mentioned in those conference calls was Sophomore Wide Receiver Da’Quan Bailey-Brown. Bailey-Brown was a constant, besides Head Coach Ricky Coon‘s positive attitude, performer on the field the entire year. You could always count on something magical to happen when Bailey-Brown touched the ball or was deep to receive a punt return or kick-off. It didn’t take long for opposing teams to realize his game-changing abilities and thus started to refuse to kick to him. Bailey-Brown was always fun to watch and be around this last year and a half and will no doubt keep up the hard work and game-changing abilities at the next level, wherever he chooses to go. Bailey-Brown is currently considering offers from Middle Tennessee State, Central Michigan University, UT-Martin, Western Kentucky, New Mexico State, Western Illinois, University of South Florida, Southern Mississippi, Troy University, Murray State, and University of Akron.
