DCCC Ending Merger Talks Not a Shock to Fort Hays President

Hays, KS (westernkansasnews.com) Tuesday we heard from a Dodge City Community College trustee on why the college pulled out of merger talks with Fort Hays State. Today we hear from the other side. Fort Hays Spokesman Kent Steward says the news DCCC ended discussions did not come as a shock for new President Doctor Mirta Martin.

Steward believes there is always a chance something else could develop.

There are no active merger talks between Fort Hays State and any other community college in Southwest Kansas.
